Deepfreeze - Directissime Walker. In June 1986, Patrick Gabarrou and Hervé Bouvard opened the Walker Directissime in the Grandes Jorasses North Face. A masterpiece of difficulty in a 1200 m big wall. Nobody tried it since 37 years. In February 2023, three French mountaineers try to free climb it and make the first winter ascent of this route.
