Locals of Noronha
A protected Brazilian island through the eyes of its local surfers. Locals of Noronha shows the island known as the Brazilian Hawaii from it’s locals’ point of view. With images of an historic 18-foot swell, the film shows the simple lifestyle of characters who share a unique connection with the sea. Directed by Lorena Montenegro, the documentary was filmed in a paradise considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Best Film - Nord Nordost Surf Film Festival Berlin 2014.
