One Degree°

One Degree° is a sports adventure and environmental documentary which explores mountain lakes, a result from melting glaciers. Embark on a journey through the Andes followed by the Himalayas to encounter the highest glacial lakes in the world, 5000m above altitude. Two kitesurfing champions with atypical backgrounds will ride pristine lakes without any human presence for the very first time. Canoe champion Martin Thomas (5° Olympic Games Tokyo 2021) and kitespeed vice champion of the world Armelle Courtois are accompanied by glaciologist experts and a production team accustomed to filming in extreme high mountains. They were able to highlight the urgency of raising awareness and the need for the transformation of our habits against climate change, especially on a glacier level. One degree can change everything on Earth… One Degree° changed everything for them. Official Selection 2023: What A Trip Festival.
