Powell to Powell

In June 2012, four adventurers started at the headwaters of the upper Colorado River in Rocky Mountain National Park and headed downstream for the next 800 miles. By kayak, foot, oar, and solar raft, they gain a first-hand perspective on the river and the people whose lives depend on it. Punctuated by a series of interviews along the way with water experts of all kinds ranging from farmers, ranchers, politicians and environmental non-profits, the film seeks to spread understanding of the ecological issues and threats facing a used and abused river drainage at risk.
