The Everest Dream
The Everest Dream is an inspiring mountaineering documentary following a group of traumatic brain injury survivors from Scotland as they attempt an extraordinary trek to Everest Base Camp in the Nepal Himalaya. After life-changing injuries affecting memory, speech, and mobility, participants including Nicolas, Peter, Michael, Colin, and Niall defy expectations through years of rehabilitation and set out on a shared goal: reaching 5,364 meters at Everest Base Camp. Led by James Lamb and supported by families, Sherpa guides, and local communities, the journey moves from Scotland to Kathmandu and into the Himalayas. Along the way, the team faces extreme altitude, physical limitations, and emotional challenges, with setbacks that include one member going missing on the trail and another having to turn back for health reasons. Ultimately, the film highlights that success is not only about reaching the destination, but about resilience, courage, and the determination to keep moving forward. The Everest Dream is a powerful story of recovery, friendship, and the transformative impact of adventure. Official Selection 2026: Nepal International Film Festival.
