The Nordic Odyssey: Take Back the Road. Aloïs and Hector, two longtime friends, share a dream: a transition to a cycling-centered society. The bicycle—fascinating in its simplicity and efficiency—would create a more desirable, calmer, more active, more social, and more sustainable world. In early 2025, they set out to cycle along the roads of Northern Europe, heading toward that goal—the North Cape—which seemed so far away at the time. Their journey is punctuated by encounters with other cyclists, each committed in their own way to this path toward a “bicycle revolution.” These cyclists share their personal stories about cycling and explain their vision for the role of bicycles in our societies.
