750 miles off the coast of Brazil, approximately one-third of the way to Africa, the summit of a 20,000-foot underwater mountain rises above the South Atlantic: Trindade Island. This documentary follows the Miramundos expedition team on a journey to the remote island aboard a Brazilian Navy battleship. Their mission is to explore and reveal the mysteries and wonders of a place that is largely unknown to the public and almost impossible to visit. After four days at sea, living alongside the military crew and following their training onboard, the team has just 45 hours on the island to discover its main landmarks, extraordinary landscapes and hidden secrets.
